Description

PEPER-LUX is a formulation based on non-yellowing thermoplastic resins dissolved in solvent.

This product, once applied to "Peperino" lava stone, slate or "pietra Serena" sandstone gives rise to a protective, shiny aesthetic film capable of consolidating the substrate, protecting it from the aggression of external agents and preventing the absorption of liquids that could indelibly stain the substrate.

PEPER-LUX is a shading agent and revives the original colour of the surface.

Application

Substrate Preparation

  • New surface

Before applying PEPER-LUX, wash the surface with NORDECAL P diluted with water in a ratio ranging from 1:5 to 1:10 by volume (1 liter of NORDECAL P in 5 or 10 liters of water) using a mop or a monobrush. Rinse thoroughly with water and completely remove all resulting liquid avoiding formation of stagnation zones on the area to be treated.

  • Old Surface

In the case of old surfaces, dirt and any residual oils or wax-based treatments must be removed before applying PEPER-LUX degreasing the surface with STRIPPER diluted 1:5 by volume with water. Rinse and completely remove the resulting liquid, taking care not to leave any standing water behind on the treatment area.

 

Application

After 7-8 days from washing, once the floor is completely dry and clean it will be possible to proceed with the application of PEPER-LUX with a short hair roller or a flat brush in one or more coats spaced 2-3 hours apart from each other depending on the required degree of protection and visual effect.

It is best practice to pour the product into a mixing container where the roller or the brush shall be dipped into, then apply PEPER-LUX taking care to cross the roller back and forth several times and uniformly impregnate the substrate. Avoid creating stagnant product.

 

Maintenance

For surface cleaning is recommended to use CEM-CLEANER, a specific product that allows to keep unchanged the beauty of the floor over time: the use of non-specific detergents, in fact, could damage the treatment.

150-200 g/m2 per coat depending on the porosity of the substrate to be treated.

Warning and informations

-         The product is ready for use.

-         PEPER-LUX should be applied at temperatures above +5°C.

-         During the first hours, the treated surface must be protected from rain.

-         The tools used to lay the product can be washed with nitro diluent.

-         It is a flammable and dangerous to health product; refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) before use.

-         When applied inside close and poorly ventilated rooms, it is advisable to use an interchangeable filters mask with an universal A1B1E1K1P3 filter type.

-         Keep the product away from heat and direct sunlight, store it in a dry place.

 

Preservation

24 months in original packaging, in a covered and dry place.
