Fast Setting Waterproofing Concrete

NORDPLUG is a special cement with almost instantaneous setting characteristics and excellent resistance to water negative pressure.

Usage field

NORDPLUG is ideally suited to stop counterthrust water seepage in structures such as basements, foundations, retaining walls, lift shafts, hoists, swimming pools, tanks, channels, tunnels.

NORDPLUG is packaged in 1 and 4 kg containers.

Substrate Preparation

A prerequisite for NORDPLUG long-lasting action is to apply it to surfaces that are solid and cohesive, rough (or roughened), free from any efflorescence, and most of all, wet: for this purpose, since this product is mainly applied into cracks, cracks must be always enlarged, possibly in a dovetail manner, so as to create a plug-like sealing.

Product Application

We recommend mixing with water only small amounts of NORDPLUG at a time, even in the case of very large cracks. In fact, due to its reaction speed the product can not be properly used over a long period of time.

In case of cracks with seeping water, proceed as follows:

  • mix a small amount of clean NORDPLUG with a little clean water;
  • wearing a pair of rubber gloves make a bullet a small product ball and work it until it begins to harden;
  • at this point press NORDPLUG hard onto the crack, which shall be previously opened up, cleaned and wetted;
  • wait a few seconds until the product has hardened;
  • proceed in this way until the seepage has been stopped and completely sealed.
  • Before over-applying other mortar or cement, wait until the treated area has cooled. To speed up this operation, the cooling process can be accelerated by wetting the product with plenty of water.
