NORDRY 200 I-ECO

Ready to use hydro-repellent agent for masonry injection

Description

NORDRY 200 I-ECO is a transparent product consisting of oligomers and functionalized polymers dissolved in an odorless and dearomatized solvent solution that once the carrier has evaporated, react polymerizing inside the cavities of the impregnated material, coating their walls and making them hydrophobic.

The product exhibits high resistance to water washout and alkalinity.

Usage field

NORDRY 200 I-ECO is used as a hydrophobizing solution for masonry injections to eliminate capillary rising damp.

Packaging

NORDRY The ECO 200 is available in packs of 5 - 20 and 200 litres.

Application

Drilling:

  • make a series of holes of suitable size for the chosen injection type, e.g. gravity injection at low pressure (0.5÷1.0 bar) or medium pressure (5÷7 bar), using a drill or electric coring machine; holes must be 15 to 25 cm high from the floor;
  • these holes may have an interaxial distance, as measured on the floor, from 15 to 20 cm depending on the porosity of the material to be treated (greater porosity allows a greater distance between the holes) to a depth of 2/3 of the thickness of the wall to be treated;
  • these holes shall be drilled downwards into the masonry at an angle of approx. 15° from top to bottom, proceeding from the outside to the inside of the wall;
  • the ideal system involves the realization of two horizontal series of holes in two rows spaced 15 cm from each other.

Injection by gravity:

  • is performed with the aid of containers connected to a spreading system inserted into the hole and uses gravity to help product penetration inside the wall.

Injection pressure:

  • it is achieved by connecting the specific self-locking injectors inserted inside the holes to a diaphragm pump. The operating pressure can vary from 0.5 bar (low) to 7 bar (average), depending on the type of material to be impregnated.
  • Normally, a material with a large diameter porosity (macroporosity) allows a low pressure injection, while a substrate characterized by very thin porosity (microporosity) requires the use of higher injection pressures.

Average Consumption

Use 150 cc NORDRY 200 I-ECO for every 1 cm thick linear metre masonry. Example for a 26 cm thick wall: 150 cc x 26 = 3.9 litres of product per linear metre of masonry to be treated.

Warning and informations
  • If the media in real holes and empty areas at the treatment area must make an initial filling injection with NORDCEM LATERIZIO, an osmotic action cement, and, after about a week at temperatures of 20°C, proceed with the hydrophobic hydrophobizing treatment.
  • When waterproofing by pressure injection: after drilling the holes, a waterproof containment barrier shall be created by applying to plaster-free walls a shaving with NORDPLUG for an average consumption of about 2.0÷2.5 kg/m². The containment barrier must extend from floor to a height of about 5 cm. beyond the top line of the holes.
  • Read the material safety data sheet.

Preservation

Stable for at least 12 months under normal temperature conditions (5÷35°C).
