RIVLATEX

Adhesion Primer
and for Substrate Preparation

Description

RIVLATEX is an aqueous dispersion of a plasticizer-free, elastomeric polymer.

By virtue of the particular size of the particles that make up the dispersion, RIVLATEX is capable of penetrating into micro-porous substrates such as calcium sulphate, plasterboard, lime, cement, plastering, etc.

Applied on an absorbent, has high penetration capacity that allows it to consolidate and prepare surfaces for subsequent treatments of various kinds.

Usage field

RIVLATEX is used as an adhesion primer and to even out the absorption of calcium sulphate, plasterboard, concrete and plastering:

  • for the subsequent painting with any type of exterior and/or interior water-based paints;
  • for RIVENORD LAST applied to concrete;
  • for ceramic tiles bonding with adhesives belonging to the MONOTACK series;
  • for the application of coloured two coat plaster.
Packaging

1, 5 and 25 liters PE containers.

Application

Substrate Preparation:

  • ensure that the installation surface is solid, free from any type of grease that can inhibit the penetration of the product.

Product Application

RIVLATEX is to be applied in different ways depending on the type of intervention; in fact, the product is used:

  • for gluing tiles on plaster and plasterboard;
  • for laying on concrete cured for up to 6 months:
    1. pour RIVLATEX into a mixing container;
    2. then apply with a roller or a flat brush until achieving a sufficient level of impregnation to ensure the consolidation of the surface, 2÷3 hours prior to bonding;
    3. proceed with the application of the adhesive (type MONOTACK SR 10) and subsequent tiling;
  • for painting plaster and plasterboard surfaces;
  • for the preparation of surfaces made of gypsum, plasterboard, concrete and plastering for the subsequent application of thick coatings:
    1. pour RIVLATEX into a mixing container;
    2. then apply with a roller or a flat brush in order to obtain an impregnation level that is sufficient to ensure the consolidation of the surface, 24 hours prior to coating.
  • for the preparation of concrete surfaces for the subsequent application of thick coatings:
    1. pour RIVLATEX into a mixing container;
    2. then apply with a roller, a flat brush or sprayer until obtaining a sufficient impregnation level to ensure the consolidation of the surface, 24 hours before the next coating.
