Three-component Mortar


BETON-ISO is a lightened three-component mortar with a significant thermal insulation capacity. These characteristics result from using in the formula high resistance foam glass fillers.


Usage field

BETON-ISO is used for the restoration of the insulating layer of terraces where, in order to lay plastic drains, the layer of foam material (expanded polystyrene or polyurethane foam slabs ) that is under the slab had been eliminated or compromised.

The formation of a discontinuity in the insulation layer, if not adequately restored, creates a thermal bridge between the floor and the external environment with the consequent formation of cold spots on the ceiling of the floor immediately below the floor.


  • The main features of BETON-ISO are:
  • high fluidity;
  • stability against charges flotation;
  • low coefficient of thermal conductivity;
  • higher resistance to compression than in slab foam materials normally used for the insulation of floors.

Product preparation
  1. Open the container of component A and the container of component B as well;
  2. Pour component B into component Aand mix thoroughly for at least one minute with a low speed professional mixer;
  • in the case where the room temperature is below +22 ° C, add to the mixture of A + B a quantity of ACCELERANTE EPOSSIDICO as indicated in the following Table 1;
  1. enter component C into the mixture and mix until a homogeneous mixture is achieved;
  2. let the mixture degas for at least 2 minutes, then stir briefly;
  • if BETON-ISO is very viscous due to the low temperature, the mixture A + B + C can be diluted with denatured ethyl alcohol in a maximum quantity equal to 3.5% by weight. Do not exceed this dosage in order not to alter the specifications of this product.

Product application
  • Prepare the drain housing as prescribed in the relating Technical Data Sheet;
  • pour the product into the drain housing that should be made on the floor as shown in;
  • allow at least 30 - 40 minutes for BETON ISO to level inside the housing and expel the air trapped during the mixing phase;
  • lay down the drain as prescribed in the relating Technical Data Sheet;
  • after the drain has been laid at the proper level as envisaged in the project, BETON ISO should be cast inside the appropriate groove that should be made while preparing the drain housing.
  • allow at least 12 hours for the complete maturation of BETON ISO.
Tool cleaning

The tools used for the application of the product can be washed with solvent (ACETONE, SOLVENTE PER NORPHEN or possibly nitro thinner). Once it has cured the product can be removed only by mechanical means.

Average Consumption

About 0.77 kg of mixture A + B + C are required to fill a volume of 1 liter .

The product consumption rate for the installation of the different drain models depend on the size of the housing hole (see tab. 2)

24 months in original packaging, in a covered and dry place at temperatures between +8 ° C and +35 ° C. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight.
