Description

HELASTON SOL is a monocomponent solvent-based system made up of elastomeric polymers, bitumen and additives.

Once fully cured, the film exhibits excellent impermeability, cold flexibility and elastic elongation properties.

HELASTON SOL is used to produce waterproofing membranes in situ.

Usage field

HELASTON SOL is ideally suited for waterproofing foundations foundations if the laying surface is not too damp.

The product can also be used on substrates subject to considerable expansion.

Due to its characteristics, it is not recommended for UV exposed areas.

Application

Preparing the Substrate

  • thoroughly clean the area and remove all loose material;
  • fill in pits and holes with a sand and cement mortar, additioned with SUPERLATEX or NORDLATEX;
  • where necessary, ensure correct gradients for water drainage;
  • corners between floors and walls should be coved;
  • iron rods, after removal, should be covered with NORDLATEX additioned mortar.

Preparing the product

  • Before application mix the product with drill and whisk.
  • Dilute the first coat of HELASTON SOL with 10÷15% SOLVENTE PER HELASTON SOL

Product application

  • apply, even without primer, successive layers using roller, brush or sprayer;
  • apply more HELASTON SOL on the foundation lower parts.
  • treated surfaces may be covered or interred after 5-7 days (in weather conditions favourable for product setting), protecting them from bumps with polystyrene panels, geofabric or specific plastic material.
  • any joint should be reinforced with VETROMAT 22.
  • when applying to horizontal surfaces it is advisable to reinforce the membrane with a VETROMAT 22 glass fibre mesh or, alternatively, with a NYCON 100 or NYCON 200 mat, making sure that complete impregnation occurs.

Preservation

24 months in the original packs, in a sheltered dry place, at temperatures between 5°C e +30°C
