Solvent Free Multi-Purpose Epoxy Base Coat
NORPHEN FONDO FIL is a solvent-free two component epoxy resin with fillers characterized by high fluidity. Once mixed and ready to use the product is very fluid, self-leveling and can be used as a bonding primer between substrate and subsequent finishing coats or as a binder for resin and quartz based mortars or screeds.
NORPHEN FONDO FIL is suited for the preparation of both concrete and cementitious screeds and epoxy mortars.
NORPHEN FONDO FIL can be used as:
5 kg in kits (A + B)
25 kg (A + B)
Solvent Free Multi-Purpose Epoxy Base Coat
- washing by means of acids;
- sanding;
- diamond grinding;
- scarifying;
- peening.
The maximum moisture content of the media should be 4% (carbide method according to UNI 10329).
Used as a skimming base coat primer:

Spread the mortar with a smooth steel trowel, strike off and smooth it.

NORPHEN FONDO FIL is characterized by considerable reactivity even when cross-linking at low temperatures.
The dough pot-life depends on the room temperature at which works are executed and on the amount of the dough. In Table 1 are shown pot-life data for 5 kg of product (A + B), with or without quartz sand:

Recoating Time
To use NORPHEN FONDO FIL as a primer and without broadcasting, the ideal time intervals before laying down subsequent finishing coats is shown in Table 2:

If over-application is to be carried out after the time limit, it is necessary to proceed with the broadcast of quartz sand over NORPHEN FONDO FIL, fresh on fresh.

24 months in its closed original container, in a dry place at temperatures between +5°C and +35 ° C. The product is sensitive to frost.
