NORDCURE / NORDCURE B

Curing-Concrete Coating

Description

NORDCURE is based on thermoplastic copolymers dissolved in hydrocarbon solvents: following polymerization, they produce a water impermeable film, little permeable to water vapour and offering great resistance to saponification processes. Once applied to concrete, it creates a specific evaporation proof barrier.

Usage field

NORDCURE is used as a setting coat for fresh concrete. Adjusting water evaporation speed can improve concrete mechanical properties and final characteristics, increasing abrasion resistance, reducing surface pulverization and preventing both slab curling and crack formation due to shrinking.

NORDCURE’s major advantage is a fast and easy application, and therefore low cast setting costs, as you can do away with laborious methods involving the use of plastic sheets or wet sand and the inconvenience of having to go back to the yard after work is completed just to remove them.

Packaging

NORDCURE (NORDCURE B) comes in 5 and 20 litre containers. Each pack bears a label with product name and user instructions

Application

Make sure the surface is adequately hardened, so it won’t be damaged.

NORDCURE can be applied with roller or flat brush or, even better, with a sprayer.

The product is ready for use; you can, if desired, decrease its viscosity with 10¸15% white spirit, depending on the chosen application method.

NORDCURE must be applied in thin, uniform layers.

It can also act as a temporary dustproof coating on the floor of finished products warehouses. The surface film will start to wear off, on high traffic areas, after about 1 year.

The product is available in the selfdegradable NORDCURE B version.
