EPOSEAL W-TERGE

Laying Auxiliary Agent-Detergent
for EPOSEAL W-TERGE

Description

EPOSEAL W-TERGE is a caustic soda free, slightly alkaline, liquid detergent containing an odourless solvent for the removal of any residual material left behind after sealing the joints of vitreous and ceramic coatings with EPOSEAL W.

EPOSEAL W-TERGE is so highly viscous that it can remain for a long time on the surface, even on vertical surfaces, enhancing the cleansing effect.

The presence of a non-toxic and odourless solvent in the formulation allows the use of EPOSEAL W-TERGE also for degreasing the bottom of the tiled surfaces and, in appropriate dilution, for the removal of residual material accumulated during routine cleaning with not specific detergents.

EPOSEAL W-TERGE is supplied in bottles fitted with a sprayer.

Usage field

EPOSEAL W-TERGE can be used on surfaces made of porcelain, ceramic, clinker, and since it does not contain caustic soda, even on glass mosaic for:

  • removal of epoxy resin residues after coating grouting with EPOSEAL W;
  • full degreasing of tiled surfaces;
  • removal of any residues left behind after the routine cleaning of the surface with conventional detergents for hard surfaces;
  • routine cleaning, appropriately diluted.

Application

Cleaning and finishing of tiled surfaces grouted with EPOSEAL W:

  • after grouting with EPOSEAL W, at least 30 minutes shall elapse before cleaning the surface;
  • any grouting residues shall be removed with a white abrasive pad (model NR1225B),soaked with water and kept clean by frequently washing. For best results, make use of the appropriate handle with Velcro® pad-holder(model NR1525I) exerting a light pressure and a rotational movement (see EPOSEAL W Technical Data Sheet);
  • the rubbing of the surface against the pad causes friction and consequently produces a significant amount of foam that must be removed in a short time using a cellulose oval sponge (model NR291O) soaked in water and squeezed;
  • after removing the foam, proceed with the finishing by spraying EPOSEAL W-TERGE directly on the surface using the appropriate dispenser and wipe the same surface with the cellulose sponge after rinsing it. When the sponge gets the typical greasy and oily appearance, due to the excessive accumulation of epoxy resin, replace it;
  • if some halos should remain on the surface, EPOSEAL W-TERGE and the cellulose sponge can be used again within 2 hours from the first washing.

Full degreasing of tiled surfaces:

  • spray EPOSEAL W-TERGE directly onto the surface to be degreased. EPOSEAL W-TERGE, being a thixotropic agent, is effective even on vertical surfaces;
  • distribute the detergent onto the surface using an abrasive white pad (model NR1225B) and let it work for at least 15-30 minutes. The odourless solvent mixture and the surfactants in a basic environment free of soda make degreasing easier while protecting the glass surfaces at the same time;
  • wet with warm water and rub the surface with a white abrasive pad (model NR1225B) or with a mono-brush equipped with a white Scotch-Brite® disc;
  • remove the waste water with a squeegee, mop or wet vacuum cleaner and rinse with warm or hot water, if possible, to reduce dirt redeposition;
  • for best final result, wipe moisture away from the surface with a dry cloth.

Washing with tiled surfaces degreasing:

  • dilute in a plastic bucket 1 part by volume of EPOSEAL W-TERGE with warm water in a ratio ranging from 5 to 40 parts by volume equal to 1 drinking glass (200 ml) each 1-8 litres of water;
  • wash the surface with conventional means (e.g., mop or cloth and brush) using EPOSEAL W-TERGE solution;
  • rinsing is necessary only if the surface is particularly dirty.
