Protective enamel for swimming pools

NORDCHLOR is a mono component enamel based on halogenated polymers, pigments, additives and solvents. After film formation, the product exhibits outstanding chemical and UV resistance and this allows its properties to remain unchanged over time.

Usage field

NORDCHLOR is used as:

  • a waterproof protection treatment of tanks/pools in swimming pools, fish farms, fountains, etc;
  • a treatment for steel sheets with oxidation problems, to protect them from UV rays and adverse weather conditions (e.g. corrugated steel roofs and other manufactured products);
  • a top-coat with high chemical resistance on different types of coverings (in its clear version).

NORDCHLOR is available in 5, 12 and 25 kg packs.

Product preparation

Open the NORDCHLOR pack and mix the contents; when necessary, adding, if needed, NORDCHLOR SOLVENTE in order to adjust the fluidity of the product.

Apply in multiple thin coats, within a few hours (or days) of each other.

Product application

As a protective waterproof coating of swimming pools:

thoroughly clean the surface to remove dust, dirt, grease, oil, old adhesives or paint, efflorescence, mildew and other foreign material;

apply a first coat of NORDCHLOR approx. diluted 20% with NORDCHLOR SOLVENTE;

after a few hours, apply one or two product's finishing coats.

As a protective coating on steel plate:

  • clean with a high pressure water cleaner;
  • rust must be eliminated by sanding and applying a layer of RED OX to convert invisible rust spots;
  • apply one or two coats of NORDCHLOR with a sprayer or a roller.

As a clear protective coating:

  • within 2÷3 days from the application of the last underlaying enamel coat, apply NORDCHLOR taking care to perform an adhesion testing, to determine if the coating adheres properly to the substrate before proceeding with the application.
